Last year I found myself in Palermo, Sicily with plenty of time on my hands. I decided to take the time to really explore the apartment that I was living in.

Interestingly, we often don’t bother to notice the small but lovely details of life, especially in the places that we are highly accustomed to.

We lose that child-like quality of curiosity and amazement and end up in a bored daze. With this in mind, I decided to explore the small details that I have previously overlooked. I took these photos quite early in the morning, with the light streaming in from the large windows and creating some interesting patterns.
