An Additional Benefit of Meditation.

When life gets busy, I often end up skipping my daily meditation. After a few days, as I get overwhelmed, I realize that I need to meditate, regardless of how busy I am. It’s so easy to go on auto-pilot, day after day, and forget the fundamentals.

When I skip meditation, I rationalize it by telling myself I am too busy. I’ve got to study, I’ve got to work, I’ve got to go out, and so on. But I find that I get busier and busier the less and less I meditate. If, however, I meditate regularly, I manage to get the things I need to be done more calmly. This often leads to higher quality results faster than it otherwise would.

So sometimes, we need to slow down and smell the flowers to go faster.
