Investing In Books.

Over the last few years, I’ve probably spent somewhere in the region of $4,000 to $5,000 on books. While not every single book that I have purchased has been a great read (and some I have had to abandon before I finished reading!), on the whole, I judge this to be an incredible investment.

The ROI (Return On Investment) of reading cannot really be calculated, because the returns are not just based on your future earnings, but also on the quality of life that you have. The point of reading is not to remember every point and argument of every book you can get your hands on or even the precise story of each fiction book. Rather, the books you read make you think, and they change you ever so slightly.

In the long term, reading enough of the right books will make you a better person, and that is priceless.
